How to Tell Which You Have

• Flip the device over. Look at the charging port on the back edge.
• USB-C: oval-shaped port, symmetrical, plug goes in either way up. The Magic Keyboard / Trackpad with USB-C has shipped since mid-2024.
• Lightning: thin flat rectangular port, smaller than USB-C. The Magic Keyboard / Trackpad with Lightning shipped from 2015 until mid-2024.
• Mismatched pair? No problem — pick the third or fourth variant.

Layout

This board is the right-handed layout: keyboard on the left, trackpad on the right — the usual desk arrangement. Please check the photographs before ordering if you use your trackpad on the left.
